Job Title: Engineering Manager: Test & Development
Salary: Starting from £76,638 - £80,000 (depending on experience)
Location: Peterlee, Country Durham

The Opportunity
We're looking for a visionary Test and Development Engineering Manager to lead a talented team in evolving our cutting-edge facility—delivering breakthrough solutions for the next generation of machines and the intelligent systems that power them.
The role will manage the Test and Development team to provide enhanced verification and validation test and development solutions for Articulated Trucks. You will manage a team delivering operations necessary (build, instrument, test, operate in test environment, measure, report) to allow NPI programs test plans to be executed. To do this you will be expected to provide new resourced solutions to provide facts and data through measurement or simulation to engineering teams within Caterpillar. This role reports into the Engineering manager of Articulated Trucks and is based in Peterlee, UK.
What You Will Do
Managing staffing, development, and performance management programs for engineering teams; motivating and developing project and team leaders.
Providing specialized engineering technical support and consulting services to various areas of the organization.
Managing high-impact, short and long duration engineering initiatives and projects; ensuring achievement of engineering plan and product quality.
Maintaining product release plans and material plans; driving programs to completion on time and within budget.
Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum.
