Credit Bureau Services of Iowa, a trusted name in collections for 70 years, is currently seeking a motivated entry-level IT Systems Administrator-Data Analyst to join our team. This role is ideal for someone early in their IT career who is eager to combine technical support skills with data-driven thinking.

In addition to managing day-to-day IT tasks, this role supports the strategy and optimization of workflows using internal account data to drive better outcomes in our debt collection process.

This is a full-time, on-site position at our Oskaloosa, Iowa, office. Salary is commensurate with experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Providing technical support to staff for hardware, software, network, and user access issues.
  • Creating and maintaining system interfaces, user workstations, logins, and access permissions.
  • Utilizing SQL and other data tools to run large data queries and extract internal data sets; analyze account history, balances, and payment trends; and build segmented contact lists based on performance patterns.
  • Assisting in strategy development for outbound dialer campaigns by identifying optimal call times and list structures, adjusting campaign rules based on internal data, and tracking performance and recommending improvements.
  • Supporting email and text message campaigns by building contact lists tailored to customer behavior; helping refine content, timing, and frequency; and reviewing performance data to improve engagement.
  • Contributing to automation efforts using simple scripting or workflow tools.
  • Maintaining documentation of systems and processes.
  • Ensuring IT and data operations follow security and compliance standards.
  • Identify and implement AI tools as the technology is adapted by the debt collection industry.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in IT support or a technical internship
  • Associate’s degree or coursework in IT, Data Analytics, or a related field preferred but not required
  • Basic familiarity with SQL databases (queries, joins, exports), Windows operating systems and user account setup, and Microsoft Excel or other tools for data analysis
  • Interest in combining technical work with business impact
  • Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with both technical and non-technical staff
  • Eagerness to learn dialer and messaging platforms (training provided)
  • Experience with dialer systems and various email or SMS tools preferred but not required
  • Familiarity with scripting (PowerShell, Python, VBA, Power Automate, UiPath) preferred but not required
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Office Products preferred but not required
