As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance our environmental initiatives across our operations, we are seeking an experienced Environmental Site Manager to oversee and lead our sustainability practices at our production sites.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our operations comply with environmental legislation and industry standards while driving initiatives that promote sustainability and reduce our ecological footprint.
Shift & Hours of work: Monday to Friday, standard business hours- onsite

Responsibilities
- Responsible for coordinating and delivering environmental and sustainability projects which reduce on-site water use, waste, energy use, and carbon emissions
- Deliver professional and high standards during any Regulatory visits
- Develop, maintain and evolve good relations with all stakeholders
- Ensure site compliance with all regulatory requirements with respect to environmental management
- Maintain management systems including updating documents, carrying out internal audits, and maintaining and updating environmental processes and procedures
- Support all aspects of environmental management and develop and maintain monitoring and reporting systems
- Generate and maintain weekly KPIs for site level
- Assist with the monitoring of group level environmental targets by sharing information about the site and meeting site targets
- Support staff engagement in environmental and sustainability compliance and targets
- Expand colleague’s knowledge and competence of environmental and assurance matters
- Write clear, concise and readily understood reports and documents for all levels
- Identify the causes of any business environmental weak points and put into place any actions that will improve performance
- Highlight areas of strength and environmental best practice so that all departments may adopt and benefit from change to support delivery of site environmental targets
- Identify, assist and support projects to improve environmental performance
- Undertake investigations of environmental incidents and identify the root causes and actions to prevent recurrence
Requirements
Educated to degree level, or demonstrable equivalent experience, in a water, energy or environmental science discipline
Experienced using excel to analyse and report on data
Ability to coordinate environmental and sustainability projects which reduce on-site water use, waste, energy use, and carbon emissions
Ability to develop and engage staff to support delivery of on-site environmental and sustainability compliance and targets
Demonstrable experience in building networks to ensure high quality data reporting and to identify and share best practice.
Beneficial, but not essential - Good understanding of how management systems work, for example ISO 14001 environmental management system and ISO 50001 energy management system
