- Review tender documents to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Analyze and interpret project plans to identify material and cost requirements.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and competitive pricing for geosynthetic materials.
- Develop quotations in line with tender requirements and company standards.
- Where applicable, propose superior technical or commercial alternatives.
- Work closely with engineering, technical, commercial, and project management teams to ensure alignment on project goals and client needs.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain optimal pricing and delivery terms.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy in all estimates and proposals.
- Identify potential risks and opportunities, recommending viable solutions.
- Assist in reviewing project scopes for accuracy and completeness.
- Contribute to project planning and timelines based on cost analysis.
- Manage multiple tenders and projects simultaneously.
- Deliver accurate estimates within strict deadlines.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of estimation experience in civil engineering within the Australian market.
- Experience with containment projects (landfill, mining residual containment facilities, etc.) is advantageous.
- Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
