Job Description:

This Engineer - Excavator Software Validation role within Caterpillar’s Excavation Division (EXD) is dedicated to delivering the high-quality software and software package to customers through best validation planning and execution. This position leverages a proven set of validation skills, product knowledge and practical experience in the validation/design under strong communication with cross-functional business partners.

In addition, this role is highly focused on working for process improvement of overall software lifecycle by utilizing multiple platforms.

Job Duties:

• Lead planning and execution of software and its package validation, and analyzing the test result.
• Participate in the development project as software validation lead.
• Develop software validation specifications based upon the requirements.
• Troubleshoot the software bug/issue with related teams.
• Lead the software development/validation process improvement activities.
• Collaborate with worldwide business partners.

Required Qualifications:

• Knowledge and experience in accredited Engineering or Computer Science program.
• Experience in programming and scripting languages commonly used in software development workflows, including areas such as automation, configuration, and data handling.
• Strong communication skills.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with designing and/or validating software.
• HEX product development and/or quality/validation experience.
• Technical details knowledge in electronics and technologies embedded on HEX.
• Fluent English communication skills.
