ROLE DEFINITION:
We are seeking a skilled Facilities Electrical Engineer to join our R&D team focused on designing and building advanced test cells for large power systems. This role involves end-to-end responsibility for electrical system design, component selection, and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-performance testing environments.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
WHAT YOU WILL HAVE:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
Proven experience in high-power electrical system design and analysis.
Strong understanding of motor control, drive systems, and industrial electrical components.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Effective Communications (working knowledge): Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Problem Solving (working knowledge): Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
Project Management (basic understanding): Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
Troubleshooting Technical Problems (working knowledge): Knowledge of troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, detect and resolve technical problems in a manufacturing environment.
Plant Facilities Management (working knowledge): Knowledge of processes, methodologies and techniques used to manage plant facilities; ability to handle the full spectrum of activities for managing and maintaining physical facilities and infrastructure.

Summary Pay Range:
$87,480.00 - $131,280.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
