Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a skilled Facility Procurement Professional to join our dynamic team in Brooklyn Park, MN! This pivotal role involves driving excellence and seamless integration between procurement functions and facility support teams. As a valued member, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth execution of supply-related activities, contributing to the overall success of our operations in Brooklyn Park.

What You Will Do:

• Spearheading the delivery of lean, responsive, and resilient material and services flow for the facility, ensuring seamless coordination from source to dock and beyond.
• Identifying opportunities for cost reduction, inventory optimization, and quality enhancements, while also ensuring the robustness of business proposals and effectively managing risks.
• Overseeing and optimizing the procurement function within the supply network to meet defined response time, cost, quality, and lean targets.
• Collaborating closely with business partners and suppliers to address facility-specific supplier issues promptly and effectively.
• Leading project management efforts and providing implementation support for strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and effectiveness.

What You Have (Basic Qualifications):

• Degree/experience: bachelor’s degree OR progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, or technical/engineering field.
• Proficiency in data-driven decision making, with a demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data to inform strategic procurement decisions.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective collaboration with internal teams, stakeholders, and suppliers.
• In-depth understanding of manufacturing requirements planning processes, including forecasting scheduling, and inventory management, to ensure efficient materials flow within the facility.
• Proven experience in supplier management, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, performance monitoring and issues resolution, to maintain strong and reliable supplier relationships.

Summary Pay Range:

$95,640.00 - $143,520.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
