Field Service Technician, Mechanical fitter

Randstad is looking for a Field Service technician for a great new job!! You a real one who loves to fix stuff? Like, you get a rush from solving a puzzle and getting it done right?

Randstad's linking up with a company that's bussin' in the recycling game, and we need a Field Service Tech to join the squad. It's giving main character energy.

This isn't your average 9-to-5. Forget being stuck in a dusty workshop. You'll be out on the road every day, hitting the streets of Sydney and tackling real problems head-on at shopping centres, the casino, and lots of different places. You'll be the one keeping essential machinery like compactors and conveyors running smoothly, making you the hero for 3-7 different clients a day.

This is a hands-on job where you’ll face new challenges every day—no boring routines, just pure problem-solving. This role would be a great fit for you to keep it physically fit and up for the challenge to handle the demands of the job.

What We Need from You

• A "Get-It-Done" Attitude: You'll be on the road a lot, so you should be the type of person who likes being on out and about and getting stuff done autonomously.
• Team Player Mentality: While you'll often work solo on-site, you're part of a tight-knit team that has your back.
• Safety First: This company is really serious about safety. You will need to be too!
• The Credentials:
• An Australian Trades Certificate in either Mechanical or Electrical trades with preventative and corrective maintenance experience.
• A clean C Class Australian Driver's Licence ( Can consider P-plates with a trade)
• You need to be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident with full working rights.
• You must be able to pass a medical (With Drug & Alcohol) and a police check.
• Experience in the waste industry is a plus, but not essential if you're keen to learn.

The Deal

• Pay & Perks: The rate is negotiable depending on your experience. That's on top of a company car, penalty rates, and very occasional interstate trips if a project comes up.
• Location: You'll ideally need to be living in the Bankstown area (maximum 30 mins away) or anywhere along the M5 Corridor. We'd also consider someone in Parramatta or North Sydney who is willing to come to the office. The company tries to keep your jobs as close to home as possible.
