What You'll Do:

As Financial Controller, you are responsible for controlling and reviewing the financial information and ensuring US GAAP, statutory GAAP, tax and legal compliance of several legal entities in EMEA. This will include:

Accounting and controlling for Legal entities in Scope

  • Close and active collaboration with local stakeholders and Finance Shared Services teams (located in Paris & Barcelona) that oversees processing and booking entries related to Accounts Payable, Billing and Accounts Receivable, Taxes and Collection, to ensure timely and accurate resolution of issues
  • Quarterly review of financial statements (US GAAP),
  • Financial Reporting analytical review (preparation, analysis and commentary),
  • Deep dive on certain BS areas / unusual items,
  • Non standard commercial contracts and revenue transactions review (ASC606),
  • Regular teamwork with the Finance Shared Services, consolidation, tax and legal teams,
  • Responsible for reviewing statutory financial statements and presenting them to Boards of Directors,
  • Organization of the statutory annual financial statements’ audits,
  • Coordination with local tax advisors and local auditors & coordination of local stat filings including surveys
  • Ad-hoc contribution to finance-related projects

Business partnering and projects management

  • Manage and support the integration of statutory journal entries into the SAP system, ensuring accurate data entry, timely updates, and alignment with financial and operational processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline booking workflows and resolve discrepancies.
  • Monitor and maintain data integrity within SAP related to statutory and US GAAP transactions.
  • Partner with regional managing directors, leadership team and FP&A on the overall finance and business management of the region
  • Contribute to finance/legal/tax related projects to support environment evolution and company’s evolution and growth (organic or acquisition).

Tax, legal and SOX compliance

  • Assistance to the Tax audits (if any),
  • Review and sign off on Corporate income tax returns and fillings
  • Performance of SOX controls related to Income tax

Who You Are:

  • Degree in Accounting and Finance is required (CPA or equivalent is a plus)
  • Romanian GAAP knowledge is required
  • US and other GAAP / IFRS knowledge is a plus
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Public Accounting and/or in Financial Reporting and Accounting in a publicly traded Company or similar
  • Strong excel and power point skills (SAP skill is a plus)
  • Must be well organized and analytical. Good team player. Self-driven and curious
  • Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written)
  • Willing to work in a fast moving, complex international environment.
