The Caterpillar Oil & Gas and Marine Division currently has an opening for a Fleet Maintenance Planner located in Houston, Texas. As a Fleet Maintenance Planner you will develop a comprehensive maintenance and repair plan meeting specific contractual commitments related to equipment maintenance, sustainability, and financial performance. The position develops and implements fleet wide maintenance schedules to include preventative maintenance for cutting edge Oil & Gas technologies. The position also has report out responsibilities to both the key account and internal stakeholders on contract performance and key performance indicators.

This role will have a strong focus on Well Service operations, supporting maintenance planning and execution for Caterpillar-owned assets used in well servicing applications.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop Fleet Wide Scheduled Planned Maintenance Program
  • Coordinate with Key Account Schedules for Maintenance and Overhaul Programs/Activities on an as needed basis
  • Develop and Generating Standard Overhaul Parts Consist
  • Develop and Generate Time Requirement Guide (TRG) for Planned / Overhaul Program
  • Coordinate Parts Requirements with E&T Purchasing, LPSD, and Cat Dealers
  • Prepare standard written reports of recommendations for customers and their Caterpillar dealers on a weekly basis
  • Build collaborative relationships & acts as a consultant with equipment management personnel
  • Provide feedback to the analytics development team where improvements/enhancements are needed
  • Provide feedback from dealers & customers to development and implementation team for product enhancements
  • Support Well Service maintenance planning, reporting, and asset management.

Degree Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business, project management, supply chain management, engineering or other like degrees is preferred

Preventive Maintenance: Knowledge of equipment and its functioning; ability to conduct Preventive Maintenance at scheduled intervals to determine equipment's corrective actions and avoid untimely breakdowns.
Level Extensive Experience:

  • Coordinates resources for maintenance, repair, and overhaul of equipment.
  • Designs procedures for preventive measures to help improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Diagnoses problems and malfunctions in a wide variety of manufacturing equipment.
  • Oversees that safety and health standards adhere to the preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Trains the subordinates as well as equipment operators on how to prolong the life span of manufacturing equipment.
  • Updates preventive maintenance systems for all schedules of manufacturing equipment.
  • Support Well Service maintenance planning, reporting, and asset management.

Operation and Maintenance: Knowledge of operation principles, methods and processes; ability to handle day-to-day and strategic issues and operational requirements.
Level Extensive Experience:

  • Participates in the evaluation and selection of operations and maintenance systems.
  • Analyzes operations; evaluates trends and implements corrective actions as necessary.
  • Works with complex issues and their criticalities for the organization.
  • Advises others on key aspects of effective and efficient operation and workload optimization.

Summary Pay Range:

$87,480.00 - $131,280.00
