We have an exciting opportunity for an FP&A Analyst within the Electrification & Energy Solutions Division (E+ES), you will play a key role in driving financial excellence and supporting strategic decision-making across the organization. Leveraging your analytical expertise and keen attention to detail, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver timely and insightful financial analysis, contribute to continuous process improvements, and help cultivate a high-performing finance culture. In this role, you will lead the monthly financial planning and analysis for E+ES and quarterly/annual forecast process, as well as support the implementation of OneStream.

What You Will Do:

  • Support E+ES monthly financial planning and analysis efforts and consolidated reporting deliverables
  • Coordinate quarterly/annual forecasting cycles, and ensure accurate consolidated reporting, including enhancement and maintenance of forecasting tools and templates.
  • Work closely with other finance groups within the Division to understand business drivers behind results.
  • Work closely with Caterpillar’s Operational and Analytics COE’s (shared service teams) through monthly closing processes.
  • Support OneStream Rollout and develop new reports to replace some legacy system reporting.
  • Influence Caterpillar’s finance culture by demonstrating continuous improvement, process efficiency, and cross-functional partnership with a detail-oriented and strategic mindset.

What You Have:

  • Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.
  • Manage Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

  • Bachelor's degree within Accounting, Finance, or related area
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis experience at a large public accounting firm or a Fortune 500 company
  • Demonstrate initiative, leadership, good judgment and accountability as well as be able to work under pressure with tight timelines
  • Power BI (critical), Snowflake (critical), OneStream, and Axiom experience or willingness to learn as we work to improve our reporting and data analyses
  • Strong communications skills with a passion for asking questions and suggesting improvements

Additional Info:

  • This position will be located in either our Mossville, IL office (preferred) or Corporate Headquarters in Irving, TX
  • This role requires being in the office 5 days/week.

Summary Pay Range:

$110,520.00 - $165,840.00
