We currently have a vacancy for a Front-end developer fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels, Belgium. The work will be carried out either on the company’s premises or on site at the customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.

Your tasks

  • Development of front-end website architecture;
  • Design of user interactions on web pages;
  • Development of features to enhance the user experience;
  • Understanding and implementation of security and data protection;
  • Design and develop APIs;
  • Building front-end code that complies with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1);
  • Compile and analyse data, processes, and codes to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements

  • University degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 15 years of relevant working experience in IT;
  • Experience in working with Angular 16+ and NPM;
  • Experience working with the Atlassian Suite, JIRA Confluence Bitbucket and bamboo;
  • Experience working with  accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1+, WAI-ARIA);
  • Experience working with other JavaScript frameworks (JQuery, NGRX, React, Knockout.js…);
  • In depth knowledge of HTML 5 and CSS 3;
  • In depth knowledge of JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular);
  • Good knowledge of Agile principles;
  • Good knowledge of interoperability technology (REST, Service Oriented Architecture, web services, message-oriented middleware, service-oriented bus);
  • Knowledge and skills on using Continuing Development / Continuing Integration techniques, knowledge of source code control repositories (GIT/Bitbucket) and build tools such as Maven and Gradle;
  • Knowledge of UML, in particular use case, state transition and activity diagrams;
  • Knowledge of UX design best practices, in particular responsive and mobile-first design, is an asset;
  • Knowledge of Java 8 and Java 11, Java 17 and above is an asset;
  • Good knowledge of design principles such as SOLID, IDEALS and CQRS. SAGA is a plus;
  • Excellent command of the English language, French will be considered an advantage.
