Functional Specialist- Guidewire & APD

About the role

As a Functional Specialist- Guidewire & APD you will make an impact by eenhancing and optimizing our insurance solutions. Insurance. You will be a valued member of the Insurance team. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data integration and transformation processes.

In this role, you will:

• Lead the analysis and design of insurance solutions using Guidewire PolicyCenter to meet business requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of insurance products and processes.
• Provide expert guidance on Property & Casualty Insurance to enhance product offerings and customer experience.
• Oversee the implementation of Guidewire APD to streamline insurance operations and improve efficiency.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for insurance solutions and processes.
• Conduct thorough testing and validation of insurance systems to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions to enhance team knowledge and skills in insurance products.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of insurance solutions to identify areas for improvement.
• Support the development of strategic plans to expand and optimize insurance offerings.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all insurance-related activities.
• Utilize MS Office tools to create reports and presentations that communicate project progress and outcomes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather feedback and incorporate it into future insurance solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of insurance processes.

What you need to have to be considered

· Possess extensive experience in GW APD and Guidewire PolicyCenter Functional.

· Demonstrate strong expertise in Property & Casualty Insurance domain.

· Exhibit proficiency in MS Office for documentation and reporting purposes.

· Have a proven track record of successful insurance solution implementations.

· Show ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model.

· Display excellent communication and collaboration skills.

· Maintain a customer-focused approach to insurance solution development.

Certifications Required

· Guidewire Certification Property & Casualty Insurance Certification

Salary and Other Compensation

Applications will be accepted until September 22, 2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $73,000 - $116,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
