Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Gen AI Architect to lead the design and implementation of cutting-edge Generative AI solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs), Prompt Engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and hands-on experience with AWS AI/ML services including Bedrock, SageMaker, and Cosine similarity-based search. You will play a key role in shaping our AI strategy, building scalable architectures, and driving innovation across enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities:

· Architect and implement Gen AI solutions using LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Cohere, Amazon Titan) for enterprise use cases.

· Design and optimize Prompt Engineering strategies for various tasks including summarization, Q&A, classification, and generation.

· Develop and deploy RAG pipelines integrating vector databases (e.g., Amazon OpenSearch, Pinecone, FAISS) with LLMs for contextualized responses.

· Leverage AWS Bedrock to build and manage foundation model-based applications.

· Implement Cosine similarity search for semantic retrieval and ranking of documents and embeddings.

· Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, and product teams to integrate Gen AI into existing platforms and workflows.

· Ensure scalability, security, and performance of Gen AI applications in cloud-native environments.

· Stay current with emerging Gen AI technologies, tools, and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, or related field.

· 8+ years of experience in AI/ML, with at least 3 years in Generative AI and LLMs.

· Strong understanding of LLM architectures, fine-tuning, and inference optimization.

· Hands-on experience with Prompt Engineering and prompt chaining techniques.

· Proven experience building RAG applications using vector databases and embedding models.

· Proficiency in AWS AI/ML stack: Bedrock, SageMaker, Lambda, S3, IAM, and related services.

· Familiarity with Cosine similarity, embedding models (e.g., Sentence Transformers), and semantic search.

· Experience with Python, LangChain, Hugging Face Transformers, and RESTful APIs.

· Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The hourly salary for this position is between $[117,000 - 137,500] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
