An Athens-based deep tech scale-up that creates award-winning immersive AI/AR/VR experiences to bring cultural heritage to life. They design and deliver awardwinning immersive, blending augmented and virtual reality with advanced AI, to bring archaeological sites, museums and historic landmarks to life for millions of visitors worldwide. Their multidisciplinary teams of engineers, creatives and domain experts collaborate with UNESCO monuments, leading museums and tourism partners to transform complex heritage stories into engaging, datadriven digital journeys. To strengthen their AI capability, they are recruiting an AI Specialist / Generative AI Engineer who can drive both deeptech innovation and translate that innovation into business value for their clients.

Reponsabilities:

  • Own research & MLOps pipelines – evaluate state‑of‑the‑art techniques in Generative AI, LLMs, embeddings and retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG), and turn them into production‑grade workflows.
  • Build end‑to‑end solutions in Python: prototype → pilot → scalable cloud service (FastAPI / Docker / CI‑CD).
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with XR engineers, 3D artists and product teams to integrate AI modules into web, mobile and immersive experiences.
  • Drive technical pre‑sales – join client workshops, crystallise requirements, pitch AI concepts and build quick demos that win deals.
  • Champion best practices in code quality, testing, documentation and observability; keep our LangChain, Hugging Face and LlamaIndex stacks humming.
  • Monitor and optimise model performance, cost and security; keep an eye on new releases and propose continuous improvements.

Requirements

  • Solid grounding in Computer Science / Engineering, Data Science or a related field.
  • At least 3 years (flexible) of hands‑on experience delivering AI or software projects.
  • Strong understanding of LLM internals, vector databases & embedding techniques.
  • Expert-level Python (including asynchronous programming, advanced data processing libraries like Pandas/NumPy, and performance optimization techniques) with proven experience building robust REST APIs, implementing WebSockets for real-time communication, and developing web frameworks (e.g., FastAPI, Flask,Django) for scalable AI service deployment.
  • Experience with FastAPI (or similar) and containerised deployment on cloud platforms.
  • Familiarity with modern tool‑chains (Poetry, Pydantic, pytest).
  • Good grasp of SQL and NoSQL stores and schema design.
  • Deep fluency in OpenAI API and/or LangChain. Additional knowledge of the following will be a great plus: LangGraph, Hugging Face Transformers, LlamaIndex, Streamlit.
  • Analytical mindset, problem‑solving grit, and the ability to explain complex ideas to both engineers and non‑tech stakeholders.
  • Confident English communication skills for demos, technical sales calls and supplier negotiations.

Benefits

  • Impact you can see: your models will power real‑world heritage sites and tourist hotspots, reaching millions every season.
  • Creative playground: work alongside archaeologists, historians, XR designers and growth hackers in a flat, agile structure.
  • Growth & autonomy: pick the right tools, propose the roadmap and lead from ideation to production.
  • Hybrid flexibility: office in Athens + remote days (2 days off-site/3 days on-site)
  • Competitive package & benefits: salary that matches your expertise, private health insurance and Ticket meals.
