Manages this Strategic Category to deliver year over year resiliency through focusing on assurance of supply (AOS), Cost competitiveness, and improved supplier performance.

What You Will Do:
• Accountable for the development, communication, and implementation of a worldwide sourcing strategy for a specific category.
• Identifying performance gaps within the supply base and developing improvement plans for the identified gaps.
• Collaborating with the Supply Network on risk mitigation and using predictive cost modeling both geographic and component-based.
• Identifying, developing, and managing a high-performing global supply network for one or more categories leveraging Procurement Classification Codes (PCC).

• Develop the team to provide them with a remarkable environment for personal and professional growth.

Education Requirement:
Degrees in Engineering, Accounting, or Supply chain

• Supervises execution of category management processes

Supplier Management – MFG

• Builds and maintains strategic supplier partnerships
• Resolves performance issues and ensures compliance

Strategic Sourcing

• Leads all stages of the strategic sourcing process
• Develops and implements sourcing best practices

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

• Global exposure and experience working across international teams or markets
• Background in non-metallics procurement or supply chain
• Prior experience at Caterpillar or familiarity with Caterpillar systems and processes
• APICS certification (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) is a plus

Additional Details:

• Location: This position is based in Mossville, IL and requires on-site presence five days a week.
• Travel: Up to 25% travel is expected.
• Relocation: Relocation assistance is not available.
• Sponsorship: Visa sponsorship is not available.

Summary Pay Range:

$144,960.00 - $217,320.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
