Job brief

We are seeking a talented and proactive Graphic Designer & Web Developer with 2-5+ years of experience across graphic design, web development (if you don't have experience in this, we will teach you), and business operations support. In this role, you’ll support Remotely, a premium VA agency based in Australia, by helping deliver high-quality work across branding, website management, and daily operations for both internal and client-facing projects. 

This is a fully remote position, suited to candidates anywhere in the Philippines who thrive in fast-paced, collaborative, and detail-oriented environments.

Responsibilities

1. Graphic & Digital Design

  • Design and produce high-fidelity digital assets including social media content, digital ads, pitch decks, and marketing collateral using Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and Figma
  • Execute brand-consistent visual systems across internal and client projects, adhering to established design guidelines and UX/UI best practices
  • Create scalable design systems for web interfaces, infographics, iconography, and animated web assets (bonus)
  • Collaborate with the creative team to iterate and deliver visually compelling solutions under tight deadlines.

2. Front-End Web Development (prior experience is OPTIONAL - so long as you have a keen willingness to learn)

  • Maintain and update WordPress websites (DIVI, Elementor, custom themes) with a focus on performance, accessibility, and responsive design.
  • Implement front-end enhancements using HTML5, CSS3, and basic JavaScript. Apply plugin configurations, troubleshooting, and optimization techniques.
  • Support UI/UX improvements by building and refining landing pages, wireframes, and conversion-driven layouts using Figma-to-WordPress workflows.
  • Perform light QA and testing for cross-browser and mobile compatibility.

3. Business Operations & Technical Support

  • Assist with project documentation, client onboarding, and internal process automation using Notion, Zapier & Kitchen.co
  • Manage content updates and communication workflows across project management systems and client portals.
  • Support task scheduling, file versioning, and coordination across design, development, and marketing teams.
  • Support with general business operations such as invoicing and managing social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin)

Requirements

Mandatory requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role working for an Australian/US/UK (or similar) company
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating previous design work and / or website projects
  • Proven experience with design and prototyping tools - Adobe Illustrator, Figma
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Comfortable working autonomously with minimal supervision
  • High attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Must own computer with required specs to perform design & development work, stable internet, and a quiet workspace - internet speed will be checked live during interviews (Minimum 50Mbps, Upload: Minimum 20Mbps)

Preferred qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary or professional qualification in Design, Web development or related field
  • Solid working knowledge of WordPress
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Notion, Asana, Slack, Kitchen.co
  • Proficient with designing templates and formatting in Google Workspace (Slides, Docs)
  • Prior exposure to creating SOPs or internal documentation
  • Background in supporting small businesses or service-based industries
  • Understanding of how to create high-performing ad creative that drives clicks and conversions
