As a Groups and Events Planning Supervisor, you will be responsible for coordinating and planning all aspect of Groups bookings and events as per Brand standards. This role supervises the Groups and Events team of planners, ensuring all events are executed seamlessly and in accordance with client expectations and brand standards. The Groups & Events Planning Supervisor reports to the Director of Groups and Events.
Responsibilities
- Achieve and exceed departmental targets and revenue goals for groups and events business, as agreed with Director of Groups & Events.
- Supervise and support the Groups & Events Planning team in day-to-day operations.
- Manage upselling and catering revenue targets.
- Monitor groups room blocks, attrition, cut-off dates and billing accuracy.
- Review event documentation (BEOs, groups resumes) for accuracy and completeness as per brand standards
- Ensure consistent communication with clients throughout the event lifecycle, from contract handover to post-event follow-up.
- Conduct pre-event planning meetings with clients and internal departments.
- Maintain strong relationships with returning clients and event planners to encourage repeat business.
- Collaborate with hotel operational departments to ensure successful event execution.
- Oversee on-site event execution when needed, ensuring client satisfaction and team coordination.
- Handle issue resolution during and after events in a prompt and professional manner.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Groups and Events sales, event planning, or a similar role e within the hospitality industry, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel management software; knowledge of Delphi, OnQ and Opera is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills in Greek and English; additional languages are a plus.
