Hardship & Collections Consultant

Ready to make a real difference? We're looking for an empathetic and resilient Customer Service Professional to join one of Australia’s largest banks in their contact centre at Bedford Park. This is a unique opportunity to provide crucial support to customers in the hardships space, offering solutions and guidance during challenging times.

This role offers a 9-month casual assignment with full-time hours and the view for a long term career. It provides a supportive, dynamic team environment where you can build a meaningful career.

What You Will Do

As a key member of the team, your role is to provide exceptional customer service. You will be responsible for:

• Managing inbound and outbound calls related to existing customer mortgages/loans.
• Acting with urgency and empathy to address customer inquiries and concerns.
• Proactively identifying and developing solutions for customers experiencing financial hardship.
• Delighting customers by always looking for new opportunities to improve their experience.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of the overall customer journey.

We're Looking For Someone With

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• A strong background in a call centre or customer service environment, with proven experience handling difficult calls or customers.
• Exceptional empathy, professionalism, and resilience.
• A demonstrated ability to resolve disputes and maintain a strong customer focus.
• A high degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
• The ability to work a rotating roster between 7.45am and 8pm, Monday to Saturday.
