Horizontal Directional Driller
RandstadRandstad is hiring for a leading provider of civil and utility installation services in the ACT. Due to a strong pipeline of projects, we are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Horizontal Directional Driller to join our clients crew.
You will be responsible for operating a fleet of drilling rigs on key projects across the Canberra region, ensuring all work is completed efficiently and to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely and efficiently operate Horizontal Directional Drilling rigs and associated machinery.
Read and interpret project plans and Dial Before You Dig (DBYD) documentation.
Work collaboratively with locators and other crew members to ensure accurate boring paths.
Conduct daily pre-starts, routine maintenance, and cleaning of drilling equipment.
Adhere to all site safety protocols and environmental regulations.
Skills & Experience Required:
Essential: Demonstrable experience as a Horizontal Directional Driller.
Essential: Current Construction Induction Card (White Card).
Essential: Asbestos Awareness Ticket
Essential: Crystalline Silica Exposure Prevention Ticket.
Essential: A valid and current HR (Heavy Rigid) driver's licence.
Strong work ethic and a commitment to safety.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
