The Role:

The HR Generalist at Brado plays a critical support role in our company; requiring exceptional attention to detail to ensure all the people related systems and processes at Brado run flawlessly. This role demands a desire to keep up with ever changing employment laws, a methodical approach to updating, auditing and reporting people data, and an enthusiasm for documentation. The ideal person for this role will be excited about spreadsheets, geek out about HRIS efficiencies and will be energized by solving benefit questions and wrangling compliance paperwork. In our creative, fast-paced environment, the person in this role will spot the little things that others miss, anticipate issues before they happen and keep everything running on track.

This role is based in St. Louis. Our St. Louis team comes into the office 2 or 3 days each week so that we can collaborate in person.

Requirements

Benefits Administration

  • Manage, coordinate, and document all employee benefits programs (medical, dental, 401k, sick leave, etc.).
  • Support open enrollment, new-hire onboarding related to benefits, and employee benefit questions.

Compliance

  • Ensure HR policies, practices, and documents are compliant with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Maintain records and filings as required for audits and legal requirements (EEO-1, 5500 tax filings, OSHA 3000 etc.).
  • Keep up-to-date with changing employment laws and adapt company practice and policies accordingly.

HRIS Management

  • Maintain and update our Human Resources Information System (HRIS); ensure accuracy and data integrity.
  • Partner with IT to ensure that data is flowing seamlessly between our HRIS and operational platforms
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and support the implementation of new processes when needed.
  • Generate reports, analyze basic data, and suggest improvements in HR processes using HRIS tools.

General HR Support

  • Maintain employee records, support performance management processes, and assist with recruiting and on-boarding administration.
  • Support the creation of new policies and the employee handbook
  • Provide support in creating a positive, inclusive, and high-performance work culture.
  • Other administrative projects and duties as assigned such as providing back up support for the office coordinator.
