Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hyperion EPM Administrator to join our finance technology team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth expertise in Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) tools and a solid understanding of finance and financial processes. This role is critical in supporting the organization’s planning, forecasting, budgeting, and financial consolidation systems. Key Responsibilities:

1. Hyperion EPM Administration:

  • Maintain and administer the Oracle Hyperion suite including Hyperion Planning, Essbase, Financial Data Quality Management (FDMEE), and HFM.
  • Manage the daily operations and ensure availability and performance of EPM systems.
  • Perform configuration, patching, upgrades, and performance tuning of Hyperion applications.
  • Coordinate with infrastructure and database teams to maintain system stability and optimal performance.
  • Implement and manage security controls within the EPM environment, including user provisioning and role assignments.

2. Financial Systems Support:

  • Collaborate closely with the Finance and FP&A teams to gather requirements and implement financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting solutions.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes by ensuring data integrity and timely system availability.
  • Provide production support during financial planning cycles and help troubleshoot data and performance issues.
  • Automate and optimize integrations between EPM tools and other source systems such as ERP or BI tools.

3. Development and Enhancements:

  • Design and develop business rules, calculation scripts, and data load rules.
  • Build and maintain reports and dashboards to support financial planning and analysis.
  • Participate in EPM roadmap discussions, contribute to architectural decisions, and evaluate new technologies or tools to enhance financial systems.
  • Lead the testing, documentation, and deployment of enhancements and new functionality within Hyperion systems.

4. Governance and Documentation:

  • Ensure compliance with financial and IT controls, including SOX requirements if applicable.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of architecture, processes, and configurations.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions and user guides for financial users and system stakeholders.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience working with Hyperion EPM applications.
  • Strong understanding of financial processes including budgeting, forecasting, and consolidation.
  • Experience with Essbase, Planning, HFM, FDMEE, and integration tools like ODI or Data Management.
  • Solid knowledge of scripting languages used in EPM (e.g., MaxL, SQL, Calc Scripts).
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as Oracle EBS or SAP is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
