About the Role

As an IBM IIB & APIC Integration Architect, you will make an impact by designing and implementing solutions. You will be a valued member of the IBM technology team and work collaboratively with business analysts, architects, and end users to deliver seamless integrations and data solutions.

In this role, you will:

· Design REST APIs that facilitate strong developer experiences or simplify systems integration.

· Involved with systems integration.

· Design and develop complex systems; employ a disciplined and rigorous approach.

· Responsible for requirements analysis, estimation, systems and application design, and testing.

What you need to have to be considered

· Familiar with the IBM Technology stack – APIc API Platform, IIB Orchestration layer, eXtreme scale – or similar technology stack for integration design.

· Familiar with data streaming technology such as Kafka.

· A proven track record working as part of a team on large architectural projects.

· Experience with SAFe Software Development Principles.

· Experience with distributed caching solutions; understands the factors that enable effective cache.

· Exposure to CI/CD and DevOps.

· Experience with RDBMS and/or NoSQL databases and understand the benefits and trade-offs of both.

· Familiar with normalization and denormalization, sharding, and other data-centric patterns.

This will help you stand out

· Health Care Experience and prior solution architecture experience.

· Familiarity with popular design patterns.

· Excellent collaboration, influencing, and consensus-building skills.

· Ability to work with people in all job functions (e.g. product, program, developers, Salesforce COE).

· Ability to manage multiple competing priorities with minimal supervision.

· Experience working with an Agile team.

· Experience with modern languages, frameworks, and technologies such as Java, JavaScript, Node.js, messaging queuing infrastructures, as well as cloud and on-premises infrastructure and services.

· Experience with distributed computing architectures, including race conditions, parallelism, and concurrency control.

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $129,500 - $152,000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
