Infra. Technology Specialist-AS400

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Infra. Technology Specialist with a strong background in AS400 Operations and iSeries/AS400 Administration. The ideal candidate will have 6 to 9 years of experience and a solid understanding of Property & Casualty Insurance. This hybrid role requires a dedicated individual who can manage day shifts effectively.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of AS400 systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Provide expert administration of iSeries/AS400 systems including configuration maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Monitor system performance and implement necessary updates to maintain system integrity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support Property & Casualty Insurance applications.
• Conduct regular system backups and ensure data recovery processes are in place.
• Implement security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations procedures and policies.
• Assist in the planning and execution of system upgrades and migrations.
• Provide technical support and training to end-users as needed.
• Analyze system logs and identify potential issues to prevent downtime.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing to ensure business continuity.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to enhance system performance.
• Collaborate with vendors and external partners to resolve technical issues and implement new solutions.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 to 9 years of experience in AS400 Operations and iSeries/AS400 Administration.
• Should possess strong domain knowledge in Property & Casualty Insurance.
• Must have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Should have strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Nice to have experience in hybrid work environments and managing day shifts.
• Should be detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
