The position is established to support the Installation Analysis Team. As an Installation Analysis Engineer, you will be asked to undertake the installation analysis scope, mostly focused on submarine cables and flexibles, by carrying out installation analysis, both static and dynamic.
The Installation Analysis Engineer will provide support from the early stages of a project, during Tender / FEED, where she/he will have to identify the scope of work, specifications and inter-discipline requirements.
Then, she/he will prepare the discipline engineering design basis, philosophies, technical specifications, and design reports as required. She/he will perform and review the OrcaFlex analysis confirming it adheres to the agreed design brief and basis and ensuring that QA/QC process is correctly followed in the team. Once the installation analysis is complete, the Engineer will develop the relevant reports following industry practices and company standards.
Once the relevant engineering studies are completed, the Installation Analysis Engineer will organize and participate in engineering review meetings (internal and external) as well in customer and third-party technical audits on engineering deliverables and vendor documents.
Overall and in parallel with the works executed, the Installation Analysis Engineer will provide consultancy to the Project Engineering Team, this may require to follow up of a Project offshore.
Responsibilities
Project Preparation:
- Manage the overall installation analysis scope and contribute to elaboration of Design brief and design basis documents for installation/in-place analysis;
- Use of existing tools as well as develop new excel spreadsheets / scripts;
- Perform the in-place design analysis with Orcaflex, as per design brief and basis;
- Perform QA/QC of analysis carried out by others;
- Interface with the Project Teams, and more specifically with the Project Offshore Managers, Project Managers, Project Engineers and/or Offshore/field engineers to present the findings of the analysis and identify critical steps;
- Interface with package to contribute to scope of work of various items;
- Ensure design in accordance with:
- Acknowledged industry Codes;
- Client Specifications and Scopes of Work;
- Standards and Design Guides (e.g. API, DNV,ISO);
Admin:
- Ensure that all project documentation is properly filled in company’s internal documentation management system;
- Adhering to all compliance and auditing requirements for the conduct of ethical and transparent operations including the compliance to all ASSO Group policies, guidelines and procedures;
- Complying with Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures and compliance with all audits and inspections;
QHSE:

Requirements
- Bachelor in Naval Architecture, Mechanical / Structural / Civil / Hydrodynamic engineering;
- Master’s degree or PhD will be a plus;
- Minimum 4 years related engineering experience in the offshore renewables, oil and gas industry or equivalent onto installation analysis is desired;
- Knowledge in FEM is required;
- Knowledge of industry Codes, Standards and Design Guides (e.g. API, DNV, ISO) is preferred;
- Understanding of Metocean conditions and process data is preferred;
- Knowledge in specialized dynamic analysis software (Orcaflex, AQWA) is preferred;
- Knowledge of AutoCAD is required;
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office is required;
- Knowledge of programming language (e.g. Python) is preferred;
- Knowledge of additional design and CAE (Computer-Aided Engineering) software such as Inventor, Ansys, Solidworks, Rhino is preferred;
