As an Inventory Cost Accountant, you will play an integral role in managing and controlling the costs associated with inventory for Conrad Athens The Ilisian. Your expertise will ensure accuracy in financial reporting, facilitate effective inventory management, and contribute to the overall financial health of the hotel. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your analytical skills in a dynamic luxury hotel environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure data accuracy and generate comprehensive reports detailing inventory levels and variances.
  • Monitor and analyze inventory-related costs, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to optimize stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as Procurement and Finance to reconcile discrepancies and enhance inventory management processes.
  • Prepare and maintain precise accounting records and reports pertaining to inventory and associated costs.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of cost control strategies aimed at improving operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Ensure adherence to hotel policies and accounting standards regarding inventory valuation and management practices.
  • Support the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements by supplying relevant data and analysis related to inventory costs.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience, specifically in inventory management or cost accounting.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in accounting software and inventory management systems; experience with hotel management systems is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with various departments.
  • Knowledge of hotel operations and financial principles is highly advantageous.
  • Fluency in Greek and English is required.
  • Excellent knowledge of SAP ERP.
