Job Summary

Primary Responsibilities and Tasks of Device Test Engineer.

Min 5 yrs of Experience with different Cellular and Mobile Devices based on iOS operating systems

Strong understanding of 3GPP standards including 5G SA/NSA 4G LTE technologies and mobile network architecture.

Responsibilities

Minimum 5 years of experience working with various cellular/mobile devices based on iOS operating systems.

Strong understanding of 3GPP standards including 5G SA/NSA 4G LTE technologies and mobile network architecture.

In-depth knowledge of signaling call flows and protocol layers (Layer 1 2 and 3).

Ability to develop and execute device test plans validating cellular features such as 5G VoNR VoLTE VoWiFi and LTE.

Hands-on experience with cellular modem chipsets including Qualcomm (QCOM) MediaTek (MTK) and Samsung (LSI).

Proficient in using modem logging and analysis tools such as QXDM QPST XCAL and XCAP.

Familiarity with SIM and eSIM design and provisioning flows.

Experience in testing Wi-Fi and Passpoint configurations (e.g. HS2.0 802.1x WPA3).

Capable of analyzing and documenting issues and communicating testing progress through technical reports.

Basic programming skills especially in Python.

Proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $125K - $145K depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
