About the role

We are seeking a Project Manager to oversee several projects stemming from recent mergers and acquisitions.

The Project Manager is accountable for achieving the overall project goals and specific deliverables from the team. This is accomplished by planning project activities and executing assigned tasks to meet the expected quality standards, thereby ensuring the success of the project. The role involves successfully managing the complete project delivery process and engaging in pre-sales activities. It is essential to maintain a professional demeanor in communications with customers to cultivate strong relationships with client contacts. Additionally, the Project Manager will be responsible for effectively managing project finances to ensure profitability and growth within the sector, as well as overseeing work in progress and aging debt.

Here’s what the role looks like:

  • Manage a portfolio of projects ranging in size and complexity, and ensuring projects are delivered in scope, on time and within budget.
  • Develop and manage detailed project schedule and work plans.
  • Assemble, plan, and lead technical teams to deliver the project objectives.
  • Track project progress and costs, and proactively manage any changes via a controlled Change management process.
  • Create and maintain project documentation to track actions, risks, and issues.
  • Provide project reporting, both internal and external.
  • Transition and onboarding of customers into our managed services division
  • Planning and managing service changes and service go-lives.
  • Conducting regular reviews during project and service transition with customers and key stakeholders / senior management
  • Continual service improvements on the services being provided

Requirements

  • Strong experience of planning and managing multiple projects in an IT infrastructure or application environment
  • Experience of delivering ServiceNow related projects.
  • Supporting service desk manager and technical teams with consolidation planning
  • Scheduling and sequencing of cutover activities from legacy to new system
  • Leading 3rd party vendors to deliver scopes of work related to ServiceNow integration as required
  • Working with Internal comms team to draft and release change communications to the business
  • Updating senior stakeholders/sponsors on progress and go/no-go requirements
  • Experience of working within the oil and gas industry
  • Basic understanding of Project Online
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, including the ability develop and explain the project goals and objectives to the project team and stakeholders
  • Good business acumen, including industry and domain-specific knowledge of the organisation and its business units.
  • Familiarity with industry trends and innovation, and how other organisations are using them to drive digital business
  • Good project planning and execution skills
  • Ability to develop projects and deliver them against financial and resource constraints
  • Proven track record with the use of reporting tools to monitor project activities and analyse project performance
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles including Waterfall or Agile
  • Qualifications in one of the following project delivery methodology or frameworks and experience of others, such as:

PMI standards, PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or Managing Successful Programmes (MSP)
