Ash & Harris Executive Search is looking for a Technical Recruiter

Overview:
We're seeking a driven, high-output Technical Recruiter to help rapidly scale a small, high-performing engineering team at a fast-moving startup. This is a critical role in a company that has achieved strong product-market fit, profitability, and exceptional early growth—all without traditional marketing. With a recent Series A backed by top investors, the business is scaling quickly, and demand has outpaced the team’s capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead full-cycle technical recruiting for backend, full-stack, and product engineering roles.
  • Partner with founders and engineering leaders to grow the team from ~3 to 20+ engineers this year.
  • Source, assess, and close top technical talent with urgency and precision.
  • Build recruiting processes, pipelines, and infrastructure from scratch.
  • Define and maintain a high hiring bar as the team scales.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 3+ years as a technical recruiter in fast-paced startups or top recruiting firms.
  • Proven success scaling engineering teams at high-growth companies.
  • Ability to screen for technical depth independently.
  • Existing network of top-tier engineers.
  • Willingness to work long hours on-site in NYC, fully embedded with the team.

Education:

  • Background from a strong academic institution preferred.
  • Technical degree is a plus.

  • Fully on-site role—no remote flexibility.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary: $140,000–$160,000 per year.
