- Support the creation of camera layout plans and field-of-view documentation
- Perform setup and debugging of equipment such as PoE switches, cameras, and edge devices
- Help draft and update documentation, diagrams, and equipment checklists
- Coordinate with camera installers, electricians, and internal technical teams
- Maintain organized records of installed hardware and deployment metadata
- Support low-voltage planning (e.g., cable paths, camera mount locations)
- Handle light troubleshooting and escalate technical issues to the senior engineer
- Participate in travel to customer sites as needed to assist with deployments
Preferred:
- Understanding of low-voltage systems and installation requirements
- Familiarity with tools like Milestone, Genetec, Blue Iris, or similar VMS platforms
- Basic scripting or automation skills to support layout configuration or documentation (e.g., Python, bash)
Requirements
- 1–2 years of hands-on experience in a technical support, field service, IT, or installer-type role (or relevant coursework)
- Comfortable with tools such as Lucidchart, Google Sheets, or Visio
- Basic understanding of networked systems (IP cameras, switches, etc.)
- Strong organizational skills and a methodical approach to data collection and reporting
- Willingness to travel and work onsite in clinical or industrial environments
- Curious, proactive, and eager to learn from senior engineers and real-world deployments
- Experience with site survey tools, cable routing diagrams, or facility blueprints
- Exposure to AI, computer vision, or edge computing concepts
