Lead User Experience (UX)

9D Technologies & Imagination AI
Full-time
On-site

As Lead UX, you’ll take ownership of UX strategy, design systems, and experience quality across the product lifecycle. You’ll work cross-functionally with product, engineering, marketing, and data teams to turn complex challenges into intuitive, elegant solutions.

You’re not just a great designer — you’re a systems thinker, a design evangelist, and a builder of scalable experiences. You will drive excellence across multiple apps and help architect the foundation of our AI-first, mobile-first product philosophy.

  • Lead UX Design Across Product Lines: Define the UX vision and execution for core apps — starting with HerHealth, our AI-powered women’s health platform.
  • Define & Own UX Frameworks: Develop design principles, flows, heuristics, and standards for onboarding, engagement, retention, and AI interaction models.
  • Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with product managers, engineers, AI teams, and marketers to ensure user needs are met without compromise.
  • Own the Onboarding & Retention Experience: Translate business goals into seamless onboarding flows and engagement loops that drive day 0, 1, and 7 retention.
  • Evolve the Design System: Build or refine our design systems to ensure visual and interaction consistency across apps and platforms.
  • Prototype, Test, Iterate: Champion rapid prototyping, usability testing, and user feedback loops to ship fast and learn faster.
  • Mentor & Raise the Bar: Review work from junior designers, create feedback rituals, and help grow the company’s UX maturity.

  • 7 to over 10 years of experience in UX/UI for mobile applications (iOS/Android), with a preference for candidates who have spent a minimum of 2 years in a leadership or principal design position.
  • Demonstrated success in launching health, wellness, productivity, or social applications that achieve high retention rates.
  • Extensive knowledge in areas such as onboarding design, habit loops, and data-driven UX decision-making.

  • A solid grasp of AI product interfaces and behavioral design principles is advantageous.
  • Experience in dynamic startup settings and collaborating with remote teams.
  • Views design as a strategic differentiator, not merely as a craft.
  • Enjoys integrating user empathy with business metrics and data insights.
  • Capable of working at both a high-level product vision and focusing on the intricate details of pixel-perfect user flows.
  • Thrives amidst uncertainty and enjoys crafting initial experiences — taking ideas from concept to reality.
