Lead Visual Designer

As a Lead Visual Designer you will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity of our projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create compelling designs that enhance user experience and align with our brand vision. Your expertise in various design tools will be crucial in delivering high-quality visual content that resonates with our audience.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between CAD 70,000/Year to CAD 90,000/Year depending on the experience and other qualifications of the candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design process from concept to completion ensuring alignment with project goals and brand guidelines.
• Oversee the creation of visually appealing designs using tools like Google Web Designer Figma Adobe XD and Sketch.
• Provide creative direction and feedback to junior designers to maintain high design standards.
• Collaborate with product managers and developers to ensure designs are feasible and meet technical requirements.
• Develop and present design concepts to stakeholders incorporating feedback to refine and improve designs.
• Utilize Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premier Pro to create engaging motion graphics and video content.
• Implement design solutions that are user-centered and enhance the overall user experience.
• Stay updated with the latest design trends and technologies to ensure our designs are innovative and competitive.
• Conduct design reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure consistency and quality across all projects.
• Use Adobe Edge Animate and Adobe Indesign to create interactive and print-ready materials.
• Create detailed design specifications and guidelines for developers and other team members.
• Ensure all designs are optimized for various platforms and devices maintaining a seamless user experience.
• Contribute to the development of our design strategy aligning it with the companys goals and objectives.

Qualifications

• Possess a strong proficiency in Google Web Designer Figma Adobe XD and Sketch with a proven track record of successful projects.
• Demonstrate expertise in Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premier Pro for creating dynamic visual content.
• Have experience with Adobe Edge Animate and Adobe Indesign for interactive and print design.
• Show proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop for creating high-quality graphics and illustrations.
• Exhibit strong design review skills ensuring all work meets the highest standards of quality and consistency.
• Have excellent communication skills to effectively present and articulate design concepts to stakeholders.

Certifications Required

Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) in Adobe Photoshop Adobe XD or equivalent certification.
