Job Description:

Your Work Shapes the World at Caterpillar Inc.

When you join Caterpillar, you're joining a global team who cares not just about the work we do – but also about each other. We are the makers, problem solvers, and future world builders who are creating stronger, more sustainable communities. We don't just talk about progress and innovation here – we make it happen, with our customers, where we work and live. Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.

Are you passionate about driving operational excellence and making a real impact? At Caterpillar, a global leader in heavy equipment manufacturing, we produce high-performance buckets for excavators — and we’re constantly pushing the boundaries of efficiency, quality, and innovation.

We're looking for a Lean Specialist to lead transformative projects across welding, logistics, and office functions, helping us build smarter processes and a stronger Lean culture.

If you're ready to bring your skills to a company that builds what matters, this is your opportunity.

Your job duties may include:

  • Apply advanced Lean tools (e.g., value stream mapping, 5S, SMED, visual management) to identify and eliminate waste in both manufacturing and office processes.
  • Facilitate cross-functional Kaizen events, driving measurable improvements in lead time, quality, and cost.
  • Lead end-to-end process improvement projects, demonstrating strong project planning, stakeholder alignment, and execution skills.
  • Coach teams in structured problem-solving techniques (e.g., A3 thinking, DMAIC, 8D), fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Develop and deliver Lean training programs tailored to different audiences (operators, engineers, office staff).
  • Use data-driven decision-making to track KPIs, analyze trends, and present actionable insights to leadership.
  • Act as a change agent by influencing behaviors, building Lean capabilities, and embedding best practices across the organization.

You will have:

  • University degree in engineering, business, or related field with a strong analytical and process-oriented mindset.
  • Hands-on experience in Lean roles, with a proven track record of successful project delivery in shop floor and/or office settings.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex change initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of Lean principles and Six Sigma tools, with practical application in real-world scenarios.
  • Strong facilitation and coaching skills, capable of engaging diverse teams and driving behavioral change.
  • Proficiency in using digital tools for process mapping, data analysis, and performance tracking
  • Fluent in English

What We Offer:

  • A competitive compensation package including healthcare and cafeteria benefits.
  • Travel allowance of 45 HUF/km for commuting by car.
  • Access to continuous development through technical and soft skills training.
  • A dynamic, global work environment that supports your growth.
  • Respect for your ideas, experience, and contributions.
  • A challenging role with end-to-end responsibility and career development opportunities.
