We are seeking for a strong candidate for the position of Senior Executive, Legal. In this role, you will be an integral part of the Legal team, providing essential support for daily legal requirements across Singapore and Malaysia, while also engaging in Group-level legal initiatives. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Business, Operations, Credit, Payments, Product, and Engineering, on various transactions and projects, which involve commercial agreements, product structuring, regulatory responses, and digital legal tools. This position is ideally suited for a proactive legal professional eager to apply their legal expertise to create a tangible impact in a dynamic fintech environment.

What you will do: 

  • Supporting day-to-day business needs across Singapore and Malaysia while contributing to Group-level work (such as equity/debt fundraising, due diligence exercises).
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements (e.g., financing documents, collaboration agreements, partnership contracts, shareholders’ agreements, share sale agreements, service agreements, NDAs).
  • Conduct legal research and provide support on various ad-hoc matters, including customer complaints, scam or impersonation cases, regulatory queries, and audits.
  • Communicate and collaborate with internal stakeholders across diverse technical disciplines to provide clear, practical legal advice.
  • Support debt recovery efforts, including liaising with external legal counsel to issue letters of demand (LOD), commence legal proceedings, initiate winding-up actions, and enforce court judgments.
  • Drive assigned initiatives and projects, including system and tracker improvements, knowledge management, tender processes, and AI and automation implementation.

Requirements

What we are looking for: 

  • 2 to 4 years post qualification experience from a reputable law firm, with a background in corporate, banking, or commercial practice.
  • Strong skills in legal drafting, document review, and research.
  • High ownership and accountability; self-driven, solutions oriented, and motivated to deliver results.
  • Pragmatic and street smart, able to grasp technical subject matter (e.g., product, technology, operations) quickly and communicate clearly with non legal stakeholders.
  • Possesses good commercial judgment and the ability to provide balanced, business oriented legal solutions.
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced, high growth environment.
  • IT proficient - confident using spreadsheets, shared drives, and internal trackers.
