What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Diploma in Library and Information Services, Bachelor of Information Studies or a related field.
- Previous experience working in a library or information centre.
- Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanour.
- A strong understanding of library systems and an interest in technology.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
General Role Responsibilities
- Assisting with general library inquiries and locating resources.
- Processing new books and other library materials.
- Managing circulation desks, including check-ins, check-outs, and returns.
- Create and maintain catalogue records.
- Helping to maintain the library's collection and ensuring shelves are tidy and organised.
- Supporting library programs and events.
