Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor
Location: Albany, CA
Schedule: Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Compensation: $81,000 – $90,000 annually, based on experience
Job Summary:
This position involves providing brief, structured mental health therapy (10–12 sessions) to adult patients in a primary care environment. As part of a collaborative care team, the clinician addresses mild to moderate mental health conditions by delivering solution-focused, evidence-based support within an integrated health setting.
Core Duties:
- Perform assessments and use targeted treatment methods like behavioral activation and problem-solving therapy.
- Consult with primary care teams on behavioral health needs and coordinate patient care.
- Identify mental health and substance use concerns through screening.
- Facilitate community referrals when additional resources are required.
- Participate in team meetings and coordinate care across disciplines.
- Lead groups addressing mental and physical health issues such as diabetes and depression.
- Maintain accurate documentation using electronic health records.
- Follow all legal, clinical, and ethical guidelines for service delivery.
Requirements
- Master’s in Social Work or Marriage & Family Therapy, or a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (APA-accredited).
- Licensed in California as an LCSW or Psychologist, or registered as an ASW or AMFT (clinical supervision available).
- At least 1 year of therapy experience working with multicultural or underserved populations.
- Competency in Microsoft Office and EMR systems.
