Caterpillar’s Earthmoving division is hiring a Product Lifecycle Manager for Medium Tractor Type Tractors! This role carries great influence over exciting new projects for Caterpillar’s smart assets. If you are interested in being part of an innovative team, apply today!
This role is accountable for ensuring competitive solutions are offered and maintained over the life of the equipment. The Lifecycle Manager works closely with Sales Execution Partners and Component Groups to develop and support services growth strategies which deliver maximum value to customers, dealers, and Caterpillar.
What You’ll Do (Job Duties):
- Champion the parts business for the product group and supporting organizations by providing aftermarket education and strategy leadership
- Serve as the subject matter expert specifically responsible for the development and execution of strategic and tactical initiatives to drive services revenue growth through rebuild and repair options, cost reduction, machine feature upgrades, technology, condition monitoring, and inventory management to support customers’ needs throughout the lifecycle of the machine
- Direct aftermarket New Product Introduction (NPI) strategy and deliverables for Medium Tractor Products (MTP). This includes financials, Aftermarket Growth Guide, service parts proliferation, rebuild costs, Reman coverage, unmet customer needs and IP portfolio management.
- Work across a matrix organization to ensure the critical aspects of the parts life cycle are managed and parts challenges are addressed at the product group level
- Coordinate and lead MTP Condition Monitoring long-term strategy in coordination with other Earthmoving product groups
- Serve as rebuild subject matter expert for MTP.
- Work with LCM peers in other Product Groups to benchmark and establish best-in-class processes and solutions
What You Have (Basic Qualifications):
- Degree/Experience: Bachelor’s degree or progressive experience across a diverse set of areas such as New Product Introduction (NPI), Engineering, Aftermarket, Product Support, or Lifecycle Management.
- Customer Focus: Demonstrated ability to prioritize customer needs and satisfaction in business decisions, including the development of lifecycle solutions such as rebuild and repair options, machine upgrades, and inventory strategies that deliver long-term value.
- Influencing: Experience driving alignment and influencing decisions across a matrixed organization to support services growth strategies and resolve parts lifecycle challenges at the product group level.
- Problem Solving: Ability to anticipate and resolve complex operational and lifecycle challenges, including unmet customer needs, rebuild strategy execution, and aftermarket NPI deliverables.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to apply strategic planning and competitive analysis to develop and execute services growth strategies, benchmark best-in-class processes, and maintain focus on long-term business objectives.
Top Candidates Will Also Have
- Broad company knowledge with multiple functional areas including New Product Introduction, Continuous Product Improvement, project management, product engineering, product support, parts product background or field experience
- Thorough knowledge of company products machine/components, product applications, dealer network, and services growth strategies
- Proven ability to clearly and effectively communicate across cross-functional teams and global stakeholders, including Sales Execution Partners, Component Groups, and Product Groups, to align aftermarket strategies and initiatives.
- Proven track record of delivering high-impact aftermarket solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations, including condition monitoring strategies, cost reduction efforts, and technology integration.

- Office Model: This position requires the employee to work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office.
- Travel: Up to 15% domestic and international travel is expected.

Summary Pay Range:
$144,960.00 - $217,320.00
