Who We Are
Based in the City of Tea Tree Gully, Waterworld Aquatic Centre stands as a premier outdoor destination. We offer three heated pools—a 50m lap pool, a 20m Learner pool, and a Toddler pool—alongside expansive grassy areas, thrilling water slides, and captivating splash park attractions.

The Role
Randstad is currently seeking entry-level and experienced lifeguards for the upcoming pool season from October 2024 to April 2025 at Waterworld. Our facility not only hosts a Learn to Swim program but also organizes birthday parties and facilitates various events and activities.

As a Lifeguard, you'll play a crucial role in promoting water safety to individuals of all ages, instilling confidence in their aquatic experiences. If you're energetic and enjoy working with children, this position is perfect for you.

This opportunity is open to individuals aged 16 years and above who can obtain their pool lifeguard qualifications. The role includes:

• Supervise pool and surrounding areas to ensure patron safety.
• Educate the public on the Watch Around Water Policy.
• Maintain a safe environment for all aquatic facility patrons.
• Respond promptly to emergencies as they arise.
• Report significant incidents to the appropriate personnel.
• Identify and report risks within Council premises.
• Maintain cleanliness of facility and aquatic areas.
• Availability on weekends is essential.

Qualifications
Lifeguards must possess or be willing to obtain the following certificates:

• Pool Lifeguard Certificate
• Provide CPR Certificate
• Provide First Aid Certificate
• Working with Children Check
• Child Safe Environments Certificate
