About IPSD
Caterpillar’s Industrial Power Systems Division (IPSD) designs, tests and manufactures 0.5 to 18L engines that not only power Caterpillar machines, but also power over 5000 other applications including Marine, Petroleum, Industrial Applications, Electric Generators, and Locomotives. Job Summary:
Are you ready to play a crucial role in a dynamic team at Caterpillar in Seguin, Texas? As a Logistics Coordinator III, you’ll be at the heart of our logistics operations, supporting the team in ensuring smooth shipping and receiving processes. Your key responsibilities will include accurately recording and processing inventory adjustments using our state-of-the-art tools and software, all while maintaining a safe work environment.

What you will do:
Perform Cycle Counts, Inventory audits and reconciliation of parts according to the IRA processes & procedures
Able to record work in Excel spreadsheet and populate reports as needed
Able to learn Caterpillar manufacturing systems (e.g., Plex & MAMM) for inventory count reconciliation
Complete root cause analysis “RCCA” of defects discovered in cycle counting, auditing, or reconciliation processes
Lead & support Caterpillar production system continuous improvement activities
Skilled in operating material handling equipment like stand-up, sit-down forklifts, and use of bicycle for the scheduled shift
Escalate issues when necessary to provide resources to root cause & develop counter measures
Execute containment as required in an effective manner & communicate results
Work closely with Management & Team Leads to provide support to other departments as necessary for maintaining inventory accuracy
Ability to execute special duties & projects as directed by IRA Manager
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently to execute work assigned
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally & written
What you will have:
Minimum of 6 months' experience conducting warehouse and/or logistics job functions or industry certification
Ability to work well with others
Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English
Intermediate experience with computers, inventory management software, and Excel
Previous experience with Standard Operating Procedures or Standard Work
Ability to adhere to safety procedures
What would make you a top candidate:
Previous experience and/or certification in operating forklifts, tugger, and/or other power equipment
Previous experience in material planning, purchasing, parts distribution, and/or inventory control
Working knowledge of production scheduling and capacity management
Excellent interpersonal skills to develop working relationships inside and outside the department
Ability to utilize PLEX
Lean manufacturing experience
Physical Requirements (with or without accommodation):

Ability to ride a bike
Ability to perform repetitive operations
Ability to lift up to 35lbs.

1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm. Possible 4AM start on Mondays and Thursdays.

Summary Pay Range:
$20.10 - $24.20Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
