Our state-of-the-art Chilled Factory, in Airdrie, is key to delivering exceptional products to our customers. We are currently looking for a Machine Setter to join our chilled food production team, specifically for shifts on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. This role is vital in maintaining the operational integrity of our chilled production lines, ensuring that we continue to meet our high standards for quality and efficiency. Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, calibrate, and maintain all machinery used in chilled food production.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Monitor production processes and make real-time adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with the production team to achieve daily output goals and quality benchmarks.
  • Document all settings and machine adjustments for quality control and process improvement.
  • Train new employees on machinery operation and safety best practices.

Job Details

  • Hours of Work: Friday & Monday - 06:30 to 15:00 / Saturday & Sunday - 06:30 to 19:00
  • Rate of Pay: £12.67 - £13.73 (after approx. 12 weeks training)
  • Enhanced overtime rate

Requirements

  • Prior experience as a Machine Setter in a food production or manufacturing setting is preferred.
  • Solid mechanical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery.
  • Familiarity with health and safety practices within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail to maintain the quality of production outputs.
  • Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with others.
  • Flexibility to work the specified shifts and adapt to production requirements as needed.
