Responsibilities:

• To play a crucial role in overseeing technical projects, ensuring seamless execution, and contributing to the overall success of our organization.
• Perform development activities that involves Requirement Analysis, Design, Development and Unit Testing of Enhancements & new requirements in the application using Mainframe tools and technology that includes COBOL, VSAM, JCL, CICS.
• Provide production support for the applications to be contacted anytime for resolving production run issues that may occur in the application and lead offshore team
• Interact with the Product Managers, Business Analyst and other Stake Holders to better understand their business needs and provide optimized solutions.
• Provide knowledge transitions to team to understand the application process, business requirements.
• Perform design and peer code review of the enhancements to deliver high quality code with minimal or no defects.
• Provide technological training to the team on the latest improvements to the system to efficiently perform the application development and maintenance.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in Mainframe development.
• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in hands-on development in Cobol, CICS, JCL, VSAM, API
• Minimum of 1+ years of experience in IBM nonconnected - API Gateway management tool
• Should have experience in both online and batch

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for the position is between $ 65,447 – $ 117,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
