Responsibilities
- Own the performance of Exotec systems at client sites, ensuring optimal functionality and uptime.
- Monitor and analyze site reliability, identifying trends and implementing performance improvement initiatives.
- Investigate and resolve escalated issues from the Exotec Control Center, conducting thorough root cause analyses.
- Serve as Level 2 escalation for non-core systems, including third-party conveyors and related equipment.
- Collaborate directly with clients to troubleshoot and resolve interoperability challenges.
- Plan and execute software and system updates to maintain site efficiency and stability.
- Coach on-site technicians in partnership with site managers, promoting best practices to meet uptime targets.
- Drive continuous improvement by proposing and supporting enhancements to maintenance procedures across North America and globally.
- Engage with Exotec R&D and product teams to address specific maintenance concerns and contribute to product evolution.
- Support client relationships by working closely with contract engineers and site managers to fulfill client requests, including preparing monthly performance reports.
Requirements

- 5+ years of robotics maintenance experience, ideally in the industrial automation, materials handling, warehousing and/or logistics sectors
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering required
- Fluency in Japanese
- Broad knowledge on software, mechanical and electrical engineering
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills with an enjoyment for solving problems, both big and small
- Customer service mindset
- Ability to collaborate with others as well as drive your own work
- A comfort in communicating regularly with clients, contractors and suppliers
- Travelling up to 60% to client sites across Japan & Korea
