Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: Louisville, KY
Shift Hours: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Monday–Friday) | Occasional Overtime Required
Pay Rate: $30–$35/hour (based on experience)

About the Role:

Our client, an FDA-regulated manufacturing facility, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join their team in Louisville, KY. This role is ideal for candidates with a background in food or chemical manufacturing who are experienced in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing high-speed packaging and processing equipment. The ideal candidate is mechanically and electrically proficient, safety-minded, and ready to contribute to a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair mechanical and electrical systems including filling equipment, conveyors, PLCs, hydraulics, and pneumatics
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment to minimize downtime
  • Diagnose and repair electrical issues involving up to 480V systems
  • Maintain documentation of maintenance activities in compliance with FDA and company requirements
  • Work safely and efficiently in accordance with OSHA and plant safety protocols
  • Support equipment installation and startup for new or upgraded systems
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to ensure optimal equipment performance
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and prioritize repairs to support production demands

Requirements

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • 2+ years of maintenance experience in a food or chemical manufacturing environment
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Proven experience with PLCs, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and 480V electrical systems
  • Knowledge of FDA regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred
