Qiddiya Investment Company is excited to announce an opening for the position of Manager - Cost Planner. In this vital role, you will be instrumental in shaping the financial framework of our projects, ensuring that cost management practices align with our strategic goals.

Your expertise will guide the development of cost estimates and budgets, monitoring financial performance while identifying opportunities for cost optimization across various initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and sustain a comprehensive cost planning and estimating framework to guarantee precise budgeting and cost evaluations for business unit assets.
  • Collaborate with the Development Team to implement strategies aimed at enhancing cost efficiency throughout the asset design phase.
  • Organize value engineering workshops, as required, to investigate cost-effective design alternatives.
  • Perform regular cost assessments and deliver actionable financial insights to stakeholders within the business unit.
  • Work closely with Design Consultants and subject matter experts to acquire accurate cost-related information.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members regarding cost planning methodologies and best practices.
  • Identify and propose cost reduction opportunities in conjunction with the Development Team, ensuring no compromise on project quality.
  • Aggregate cost data from various sources to assist in budget forecasting and benchmarking initiatives.
  • Examine construction cost trends by reviewing ongoing contract data, local market dynamics, and industry research to contribute to medium- and long-term financial planning.
  • Assist in the development of budgets by incorporating recent bidding data, historical costs, and design modifications, while promoting continuous enhancement in cost estimate precision.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, construction management, engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 7-9 years of experience in cost planning or financial management within construction or real estate sectors.
  • Strong understanding of cost estimation techniques, budgeting processes, and financial analysis.
  • Proficient in project management software and cost management tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a sharp attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet strict deadlines.
