Job Summary

Join our team as a Manufacturing Engineering Manager and lead strategic initiatives to optimize manufacturing operations Track Type Tractors at our East Peoria facility. This role is responsible for driving lean manufacturing, managing plant layouts and equipment installations, and ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective production processes. You will collaborate across departments to align manufacturing capabilities with product programs and capacity schedules.

This position is ideal for a hands-on leader with deep expertise in manufacturing systems, safety, and standards, and a passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing manufacturing engineering team.
  • Oversee Assembly, Fabrication, Machining manufacturing processes.
  • Cost estimating, systems planning, layout, tooling, and equipment standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement of operating methods, systems, and infrastructure.
  • Ensure facilities and processes align with authorized product programs and capacity schedules.
  • Champion lean manufacturing principles and mentor teams through cultural transformation.
  • Lead safety compliance efforts and promote a proactive safety culture.
  • Define and implement manufacturing standards, procedures, and policies.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, operations, and leadership teams to forecast and plan capacity needs.

Required Skills & Competencies

Decision Making and Critical Thinking

  • Extensive experience in evaluating assumptions, synthesizing data, and applying consultative decision-making approaches.

Lean Manufacturing

  • Expert in strategic lean implementation, mentoring, and sustaining lean culture.

Capacity Planning & Management – MFG

  • Extensive experience in forecasting, resource planning, and capacity modeling.

Manufacturing Equipment

  • Extensive experience in equipment evaluation, integration, and infrastructure planning.

Manufacturing Processes

  • Expert in global manufacturing operations, process innovation, and best practices.

Preferred Background

  • Experience leading manufacturing engineering teams in industrial environments.
  • Proven track record in lean transformation and safety leadership.
  • Familiarity with global manufacturing architecture and open standards.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (preferred)
  • Equivalent experience will be considered.

Summary Pay Range:

$144,960.00 - $217,320.00
