About the role:
A detail-oriented Manual Test Engineer is sought to ensure the quality and reliability of web and mobile applications through rigorous manual testing practices. In this role, you will:
Conduct comprehensive manual testing to ensure product quality and reliability.
Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve defects early in the development cycle.
Develop and execute test plans and test cases based on product requirements and specifications.
Analyze test results and provide detailed reports to stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making.
Work closely with product managers to understand user requirements and ensure they are met in the final product.
Participate in design and code reviews to provide quality assurance input and feedback.
Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Maintain detailed documentation of test procedures, results, and defect tracking.
Provide guidance and support to junior team members to foster a culture of quality and excellence.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in product assurance
Utilize problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex testing issues.
Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of quality objectives.
Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in manual testing techniques.
What you need to have to be considered:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
7+ years of experience in manual testing of web and mobile applications
Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies
Experience in writing and executing test cases, test plans, and defect reports
Familiarity with bug tracking tools like JIRA or similar
Knowledge of API testing using tools like Postman or SoapUI (preferred)
Basic understanding of CI/CD processes and version control systems
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
