Mechanical Fitters - Multiple Positions

Our client is a leading provider of transport maintenance services across Australia. Due to new contracts, we are seeking multiple skilled Workshop Mechanical Fitters based in Newcastle. The successful candidates will be based on a Day Shift Monday - Friday roster for a project up to 6 months in duration.

What’s Involved:

• Perform maintenance, repairs and overhauls of mechanical underframes from the rail industry

• Use of precision measuring equipment (verniers and micrometers) and large torque wrenches

• Collaborating as part of a dynamic team

• Diagnostics, inspections and interpreting technical drawings

What We’re Looking For:

• Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitter with a recognized Trade Certificate

• A solid understanding of production, manufacturing or process environments

• Rail maintenance experience is highly regarded, but not essential

• Forklift and First Aid desirable

• Strong teamwork and communication skills

What We Offer You:

• $61 / hour - Day shift rate (casual)

• Monday - Friday 6 AM - 2:30 PM

• Some overtime available

• Up to 6 months work

• Based in Newcastle

• Immediate start
