About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Virtual Medical Assistant to support our healthcare operations remotely. This role involves a combination of administrative duties, HIPAA-compliant tasks, and light marketing responsibilities such as content creation and social media support. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and comfortable navigating both healthcare compliance and digital tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day administrative tasks (scheduling, email management, document handling, data entry).
- Assist with HIPAA compliance processes, audits, documentation, and internal controls.
- Support compliance training initiatives and policy updates.
- Create and manage content for the company’s WordPress website and social media platforms.
- Coordinate and support basic digital marketing efforts (e.g., newsletters, posts, simple campaigns).
- Maintain organized records of administrative and compliance activities.
Requirements
Qualifications
- HIPAA Certification (required) with a strong understanding of healthcare privacy and security regulations.
- Proven experience in administrative roles, ideally within healthcare or a regulated industry.
- Familiarity with compliance-related documentation and practices.
- Experience with content creation and basic design tools is a plus.
- Proficiency in WordPress and social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.).
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
