Metering and Site Billing Officer

Are you a meticulous and proactive individual with a knack for numbers and a strong customer service focus? Randstad is looking for a Metering and Site Billing Officer to join a national energy company based in Adelaide CBD.

You will be part of a team who is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of gas metering data that is delivered to retailers and the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO). The Metering and Site Billing team handles tasks such as exception management, customer transfers, and reporting.

Your day-to-day duties will include:

• Analysing and correcting meter read and billing data issues
• Investigating gas consumption problems
• Responding to correspondence from gas retailers
• Managing customer retailer transfers and updating site details
• Internal & external stakeholder engagement such as customers, contractors, retailers etc.
• Reconciling meter route data and contractor claims
• Following up outstanding data

About you:

• Prior experience within the energy industry desirable
• 12+ months of experience in a financial role, such as Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable
• Strong computer literacy and a high level of attention to detail and numeracy skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• A demonstrated proactive approach to work and excellent customer service
