We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Microsoft Fabric Engineer to design, implement, and manage data solutions using Microsoft Fabric. In this role you will focus on building scalable, secure, and high-performing data pipelines, integrating data across multiple sources, and enabling real-time analytics and reporting. You will play a pivotal role as well, in our transition from SQL to PySpark and from .NET C# to Microsoft Fabric, while maintaining and improving the current systems.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Design and implement data pipelines, dataflows, and semantic models using Microsoft Fabric. 
  • Manage and optimize OneLake storage and data access strategies. 
  • Integrate Microsoft Fabric with external systems using Data Factory, Power BI, Synapse, and Azure Data Services. 
  • Configure and manage Fabric capacities, workspaces, and security settings. 
  • Automate data workflows and transformations using Dataflows Gen2, Notebooks, and Spark within Fabric. 
  • Monitor and optimize performance across all Fabric workloads (Data Engineering, Data Science, Data Warehousing, Real-Time Analytics). 
  • Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to define and deliver robust data solutions. 
  • Implement best practices for data governance, privacy, and compliance in a Fabric environment. 
  • Keep up with Microsoft Fabric roadmap and updates to ensure solutions remain cutting-edge. 

 

Requirements & Skills: 

Core Skills: 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Fabric and its core workloads: data engineering (Lakehouses, Notebooks, Pipelines), Data Factory / Dataflows Gen2, Synapse Data Warehouse, Power BI Direct Lake / Datasets and Real-Time Analytics which serve a different role ina data lifecycle. 
  • Strong experience with Power BI, including DAX, Power Query (M), and visual/report building. 
  • Working knowledge of T-SQL, Python, KQL (Kusto Query Language), and Spark. 
  • Experience with OneLake, Delta Lake, and lakehouse architecture. 
  • Understanding of Azure ecosystem including Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Active Directory. 
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD for data pipelines, and version control (e.g., Git). 
  • Strong data modeling skills (star/snowflake schema, normalized models). 

Your experience so far: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information Systems, Data Science, or a related field. 
  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or related technical roles. 
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric or equivalent modern data platforms. 

Skills appreciated to be: 

  • Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (or similar certifications). 
  • Experience in data security, access control, data masking, and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA). 
  • Background in ETL/ELT pipeline development in enterprise environments. 
  • Hands-on with Fabric REST APIs, automation via PowerShell or ARM templates.
